    Reading files remotely?

Anybody know how to get SM to read files from another directory? (not the Songs folder) I want to install CVS for SMO, but I don't want to copypasta my songs from 3.9 and waste a crapload of space.

I recall doing it before, but I don't remember how.
Why would you put that in your signature? You've lost your signature rights for a month. (You'll get them back on March 10th, 2012.)

Yep. Go to Stepmania CVS then open a folder called Data, then open a file called stepmania. 2 lines down from the top, you'll see AdditionalSongFolder=
After the = sign, put where all your songs are, I put C:\Program Files\StepMania\Songs.

Doing so will create a Stepmania.ini file in the /StepMania CVS/Data/ folder. Open that file. Find where it says "AdditionalSongFolders=", and type in the location of your Stepmania songs folder (eg. C:\Program Files\Stepmania\Songs\). Save the file, then run SMO again, and your songs should load. If not, you did something wrong.
