    Stepmania/Vista Question

I bought a new computer a couple months back, and as par with the current course, it has come installed with Windows Vista. While I can add songs and Play Stepmania just fine on it, it seems that whenever I go to create a stepfile of my own in the editor, saving in-game does not update the .sm and .dwi files in the appropriate song folder. Does this happen to anyone else with Vista? I'm trying to see if it deals with permissions or if Vista just routes it to a different location, so any help would be appreciated.

It doesn't happen to me, but I have a hard time adding backgrounds and banners.
I'm running at the speed of sound to save the princess while I'm trying to catch 'em all!
