8 Arrow Stepmania

How do I set up stepmania so I can play 8 arrows? I heard doubles is one way, is there another that's like solo style, just with 8 arrows to tap?

go to key config and bind keys for player 1/2 (the left/right sides of the key config screen), then when you start up sm, press 1 enter key and then the other enter key when you select solo/singles. doubles should be selectable.

If you want to use doubles mode, a much easier way is to go to "Gameplay Options" (I think) and select Joint Premium.

To answer your question about the 8 arrow solo, I have no idea, sorry.
