I recently started my first Stepfile for SM, I think it's O.K. for my first file so far.
Anyways I'm in the process of making it, so any suggestions/tips?...

"Hey Foil. What's that you got there?" inquired Keywii.
"Oh, just my cock." Replied Foil.
"That just will not do." was keywii's response as she lunged for the scissors, pulled the blades apart, and clamped them down on the base of foil's shaft. Blood start gushing out of the wound where his penis used to be.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Yelled Foil in horror.
"Don't worry. I'm a wizard" uttered Keywii. And with that, Foil's penis grew back.

20 minute bumps/double posts are the difference between a pos file and a potentially ok file.
Make the steps match the music. No jacks if the music doesn't call for it. No random jumps. No needless streams. No retarded streams (arrows going all over the place for no reason). No excessive trills. Hands are not usually preferred, especially with jumps. Hands in holds are alright, in moderation. Plus, everything dandanblah said.
0.8x assist tick for syncing. You don't need to do this throughout the whole file.
Don't attempt streams on a first file unless it's synced to the music.
Hands are alright if the sound is loud and a jump doesn't seem to fit the music. Quads should be used very rarely and only if the sound is really loud.
Hands are three arrows at once and Quads are 4 arrows at once.
