HELP WITH SM ON Vista!!

StepMania is really screwed on this PC, and I need help. Here's my problem:

I can load files just fine, but after I save something, the .dwi and .sm files don't change at all. I go back to StepMania, and it's definitely saved and updated, but the .sm and .dwi files are still what the were before I saved. It's like they're hidden.

I think I figured out the problem. The entire Program Files folder is marked Read-Only. I go to Properties and change it, but every time I hit Apply or OK, it goes back to Read-Only. I can't seem to get past this. Help would be greatly appreciated!!

It sounds like you have Quick Load on. If that is the case, try going to Options and have SM reload the songs and courses. And/or delete the old DWI and SM files that are sitting in the song folder.

Run SM as administrator. Non-administrator programs can't modify contents of any system folder.

Right Click on the icon > Run as Administrator
