this is prolly a noob question but my friend needs help, he downloaded stepmania from the main website and he has gotten songs or sim files that work. The problem is that everytime we both press 2 buttons at once one of us miss, I think it has something to do with sticky keys but WTH is that????

Are you playing on a keyboard? That could be the problem. Keyboards can't have so many buttons pressed at once like that. -

if you use arrow keys, then that would cause a miss. a certain number of buttons pushed on the keyboard at once (depending on the keys) will lock up or not work.
i wouldnt suggest playing one one keyboard, but getting stepmania online and play on two different computers would be a start.
