why is it that

when i put a song uploaded from ffr from the simfiles I try to put it in the songs folder in stepmania3.9 it wont work. ive gotten songs from stepmania that work but why do the ones from here dont??? and they all have dwi and mp3 files

You need to have a group folder, like "DDR Mix", with all of the songs you want in there. Then for songs of a different type, you could have, say, "ITG Mix" with other songs in that folder. But you do need at least ONE group folder. Putting files directly in the Songs folder won't work.

i know that but when i try to access them through the computer it tells me access denied and as ive said before when i access them through the desktop it opens. i dont put them directly into the song folder
