help i installed SM and i get this stupid crap.

Make sure you uninstalled the previous version you had COMPLETELY. I got this error and I couldn't figure out what the hell was going on, so I uninstalled and tried again, and it worked perfectly

or make sure that ur songs are in the correct folder, which im sure they are since ur not a n00b or anything...but try downloading the most recent alpha version again or if u havent do it. "error fucking shit" hahaha good title...but thats a tight wallpaper u got there btw.

Some of the alpha versions suck ass, if it's not the uninstall problem you could just try a different version (I use alpha 7 and it runs great for me)

but its always when some fucker messages me just as I try and open stepmania so it fucks up the sound thing and it won't run...so i try again and it works.

I would say try another version?

CVS wont work...so i deleted it after uninstalling it. alpha 7 didnt work nor alpha 8 or 9

And yes i do know how to put my songs in the right folder but thats not the problem.

and it wont work everytime i click to open it i get that
plus ive deleted every single SM thing on my comp then tried installing it wont work. im gonna try 1 more time and see what happens though.

I had 3.0 final, but it wouldn't let me load song on it so I got 3.9 alpha 9. It works almost perfectly except i get that sometimes. For me it was I had a song not in a folder or something. Then it kept working except sometime the sound doesn't go on and i have to wait cause the sound skips, i don't know if that was your problem reach but anyway 3.9 alpha 9 works pretty good for me.....

I have OPENGL and I know cause I can play Counter Strike,HL,Natural Selection and such. But ya anyways I deleted every single StepMania file to do with the bloody thing plus uninstalling it like millions of times and it wont work....

BUT! I did not put any songs in the folder then tryed to open it cause Im usually able to start SM with no songs....but ust thinking of this now in school im going to try it when I get home.

Ok well i installed it again put songs in the folder and it still doesnt work so i dont know what the hell to do anymorei give up this shit sucks.

ok do you have Direct X? it won't work with out it..

ya I have the lastest direct X...need it for Diablo2 and i have it.
the View Log button says cannot read 'statistics.ini' statistics.ini is not found some shit like that.

That happens to me when I make a stepfile......if I CTRl-R it to test out the BPm and try to test it it comes up with that

well i think its just those songs, try getting different songs and going thorugh your current songs one by one and see if its the songs that are giving you problems. like only have one song in the song file at a time. im only saying this because ive had problems with spefic songs before, where i couldnt run the program because of them. hope this works

Well I had SM finally working on my newer computer then I was getting some non SM related problems and now SM wont work this is what I get when I try to play......
