stepmania 4.0

i have 3.9 it works for my pc, but i downloaded 4.0 and once i start it up igoes to a black screen shows up but i can play i just cant see what im doing what do i fix this?

I believe v4.0 is still a Beta, so it's bound to be buggy. Go with v3.9 ... works well enough.

Get 3.95, yes, its buggy, but it has an AMAZING ITG theme for it.

If you have 3.9, then you have the really crappy ITG theme.
The good one is for Stepmania CVS 3.95

I have Stepmania cvs 4.0 and it works perfectly with the songs except for magic dance when you play with the computer it just says DRAW

SM 3.95 has online capabilities PLUS doesn't F*** up like SM4. I used to use SM 3.95 but like no one is on so I just switched back to plain old 3.9

There are many bad things with SM 3.95. First off the Voltage attribute in the Groove radar is screwed up (perhaps the math equation got messed up) and second, due to certain things missing the program tends to crash occasionally.

The 3.9 version is stable but it does not support rolls. However I am attempting to rebuild the 3.9 version to include the roll support. I need to get a copy of Visual Studio 2003 version since it does not compile well under Visual Studio 2005.

If anyone wants to help me out on this, feel free to participate.

Its insane, and it looks almost exactly the same as the arcade.

I have SM 4.0, I wouldn't get it. I played one song and didn't go back. The theme sucks. When you play a song it's hard to read the arrows because they are all bulgy looking, and there's bugs.

my point is if u know where and how to get sm 3.9 online could you tell me, like i said 4.0 dosnt work on my home pc, i have a pc at my dads house and 4.0 works there but i only go there on the weekend, and i wanna play online during the week.

There is no SM CVS 3.9, only 3.95, and its kinda glitchy.
