I just can't take it anymore! Help, I'm begging you...

I need a free Automatic BPM finder that doesn't average the bpm, but finds each individual BPM and either shows you or lists them with time.

If this came with an offset detection, that would really help, but beggers can't be choosers.

This MUST be free and MUST not be a limited trial period, although it may be a limited trial version if it includes the automatic BPM to BPM changer.
These requests may not be limited. If you can't find one, or don't know one and have the ability to make any very simple program, this would be greatly appriciated.

If you are to make this program, please include a BPM counter for 2 beats, 5 beats, 10 beats, 15 beats, 20 beats, 30 beats, and 60 beats.

    2 x 30
    5 x 12
    10 x 6
    15 x 4
    20 x 3
    30 x 2
    60

To do this requires musical input and a beat counter that ignores tone. It must be able to recognize pitch changes only to detect slurs.

The easiest way to do this would be to use an automatic metronome that beats in time with the song to detect the BPM/Tempo to the 300.00 which is 5 beats per second. Notice the decimal--I hope it will recognize the BPM/tempo to the hundreth.

EDIT: Let me reiterate. Please, PLEASE do not reply unless it is a helpful post.

Thanks for the offer though, plasmix.

One does not exist, and making such a program would not be a simple task.
YOU JUST WON THE GAME! CONGRATULATIONS!

It wouldn't be a very long and challenging task for an experienced software programmer.

I have tried this and it not only requires great effort, but it won't work on my computer.

Do you know anything about programming at all?

Do it yourself like everyone else. It's not that hard to figure out BPM changes over time. The only exception is if the BPM is constantly in flux, such as a live recording would be. In that case, I say give up now, because there is no way that a live recording will turn out a decent stepfile. Studio recordings usually are fine, but live will never work well, unless you want to keep changing the BPM after every placement of an arrow to ensure it stays on beat.

Oh and by the way, there is no way to do it automatically no matter what. The user would have to indicate where the BPM changes. If the program were to try to detect a variable BPM automatically, it'd probably jump the BPM around every time anything more complicated than a quarter note is used in the song.

What I'm saying is that I spend 18 hours trying to step the first 8 seconds of the song. It's bull**** and there has to be an easier way.

Not step that song? Not all songs are steppable...

It's not a hard song though... I just can't get the timing right. Why don't you guys stop being no negative. It's not helping anyone.

Some BPMs are in really odd quantities, so you just have to play around with the bpm untill you get it right! I know it sucks! There is a song called "Battle" by UN1, and I messed around with the BPM for a while, untill I found out untill it ran at 159.998 bpm and sped up to 159.999 bpm. If you are looking for a solid BPM, do not step 80's songs, 70's songs, funky hip-hip songs, or anything by UN1.

If you're dissatisfied with the amount of effort needed to step the song, simply stop. I have tons of desire to make stepfiles, but it's too much effort for me to be bothered with it. Maybe you should think about taking up a similar philosophy.

ps what song is this anyway?

The problem in my eyes is that you are demanding that someone make it and that it work perfectly and is free and has no limited trial.

You really should go out there to look and see what is available. The truth is there is no utility that can find the bpm in all songs. There are some that come close and some that work with most songs that have a strong beat but for the most part it is like saying "I need a car that drives itself completely automated and I want it for free and it needs infinite gas mileage".

I have googled, yahood, etc. for about 16 hours now, and I continue to search. I finished Google completely, but have yet to find a program that will automatically list BPM that lasts more than 30 minutes.

I have also spent hours trying to work the manual BPM counter, but it never comes out the same =/
