    Computer Music into SM

How do, I get music (like a MP3) from my computer, to work with SM?

You can't just use an audio file in SM and it instantly creates steps. People work hard to make steps to music.

You need to do the following:

1 - Use SM editor to make an .sm file (steps) for the mp3. Then put the mp3 and .sm file in a folder much like you would any other file you download to play on Stepmania.

Banners and backgrounds are optional but usually handy if you are releasing a file you made.

Okay, thanks for clearing that up. Yea, I was thinking that, but I just wanted it cleared.

No problem, you can always request the mp3 to be stepped in the simfiles section, just make sure to provide the mp3 for people to see if they could step it.

Just don't make 50 threads for 50 songs you want stepped, ok.
