    Greetings all!

I have recently started playing stepmania 3.9!!!

    Few questions.....

Should i be playing on x3 speed?! i usually play 1.5x thought that was normal!!!

Also where can I get the good songs that everyone plays i have looked on ffr and Bemanistyle but I don't know how to find the songs that everyone was rating in the top 10 on the sticky here!!!!

Also what is "event"?! people have that over the song name!!! what is this?!

    regards.

As far as speed goes, that would most likely be determined by your skill level. How easy is it for you to pass a song on 1x speed? 1.5x speed? 2x, 3x, etc.

Try the C-mods too. I always play on C400, not sure what C means, but the arrows aren't as bunched up, so I find that I get better scores on most songs.

I get all my SimFiles from FFR, and they have about 6K on their site.

Event Mode is a game mode that doesn't require you to play a 1st stage, 2nd stage or Final stage. Basically, you can play forever without ever seeing credits roll or the high score list for your machine. To get into event mode, I think you have to change an option in the "Coin Options" sub-menu.

          Hope this helps!

            - The C in C-Mod stands for Constant. C400 means a constant speed of 400 BPM. C-Mods are what all the pros use.
            - Be sure to put your coin setting onto Event Mode. That's so you don't have to deal with the credits every few stages.
            - If you see a person pop up in the bottom right corner and say Toasty!, that's a Toasty.
            - Stick to songs that you can complete. Then, start increasing your speed mod and do those songs again. If you wanna stick with xmods, do so. If you want to do C-Mods, be sure to read the stickies here to learn what you need to do.
            - Finally, practice makes perfect.

But what exactly is a toasty? I saw a couple of them today when I was maniac-ing through Quasar on 1.3x (trying to reach Arch0wl status, XD). Does it say that when you are doing very well?

A Toasty shows when you have obtained 250 Perfects/Marvelouses in a row.

I get it. Toasty, as in "you're on fire!"

                  Makes sense.
