how do u get backgrounds and banners into your creations on stepmania

Ok, for the background you have to put -bg at the end, and it is good for it to be a png file. (no caps)

I.E.

delerium-bg.png

As for the banner, it's similar, just put -bn at the end, and it is also good for it to be a png file.

I.E.

delerium-bn.png

You just put them in the little folder that you made.

Open the image in Paint, click File/Save As. Click Save As Type, and choose PNG from the list. Then save the image. There, now you have a image in .png format.

uh

image files don't have anything to do with stepmania

you open up your background or banner in paint or whatever

click 'save as'

and change the filetype to .png

There are a lot of reasons why it might not be working. Did you actually click "save" after changing the filetype to .png, and did you paste it back into your songs folder, and remove the old one?

If so, you need to go to Options -> Other Options -> Reload Songs / Courses in order for it to show up.

Then just save the banner and background as JPEG's like i do, all of mine work just fine as jpeg format. I prefer that over png anyway.
