    Xstep? Or any other?

Is there anyway to dload XStep?

I've tried the "official" site for the program but it doesn't work.

I use both DWI and SM...but I'm having a lot of problems when it comes to make my own files...

I need the music to play at the same time(with the screen scrolling as I input the keys at the same time)

I never found an editor doing such though

    Any help is appreciated,

    Thx in Advance.

The Stepmania editor allows you to "record" in a manner similar to what you have described. However, it's not that useful becuase you actually have to have impeccable timing for it to help.

To do this, hit enter and select "Record in Selection"

Scroll down really far in the editor and add a step.

This is becuase you are recording in selection. If you don't have the whole song selected, you can't record the way you want to.

The best method is to find the aproximate end of the song. Place a random arrow there, then hit spacebar. Next hit the "Home" key, then spacebar again. If you try Record in Selection again you will find it works much better.

What do you stepfile makers use?

Xstep doesn't do the trick and I'm having a lot of trouble with the arrow change in SM (from red to yellow and so on)

            Oh well

I use SM editor and I think my latest file (that I'm not putting on the internet as of yet because it's a part of a pack) came out awesome.

                Practice makes perfect huh?

I guess I'll make a "plan" of the song somewhere and then put each arrow colors one after the other.
