I was just recently delivered my Red Octane Universal Adapter. I couldn't have been more overjoyed, being able to finally pad Stepmania!
Of course, I have problems. The driver came with a floppy, which my computer didn't have a drive for, so I downloaded the drivers off their website. I open the installation program, and it seems to work fine. Nearing the end of installation, it says that it couldn't finish because I'm not on an admin account.
Odd, I say to myself. I try it again. This time, it says that "Drivers already installed! Press OK to uninstall!". I press OK. I install again, same error message.
After many tries, reboots, creating another admin account, I'm left frustrated and angry. I tried googling the problem, but I actually don't know what to search for. I tried 'red octane usb adapter help', comes with nothing. I emailed [email protected], but I didn't receive a reply yet.
I desperately want to be able to use this product. Are there any knowledgeable folks out there willing to help? I'm really appreciate it.
