Re: I need some help
Dr. IAAW says:
"Go to Play Options (press enter after selecting a song). On the second screen (after setting up speeds and mods, etc.), turn on Auto Adjust. That's an in-game synchronizer that changes the BPM (Gap) depending on how fast and slow you hit the arrows. This helps make it a lil more accurate, but sometimes, Auto Adjust might not be able to fix off-beat songs." -
Re: I need some help
Don't listen to IAAW. He's got BPM and gap confused.
If the tempo of the steps is faster than the song, here's what you need to do. Go to the StepMania DWI editor (edit/synch songs or whatever, at the main menu), and choose the song you need to fix. F7 and F8 will make the tempo slower/faster, but you do need to know what you're doing in order to do it right.
All in all, the better solution is to download good files. Most of the simfiles advertised in the Simulator Files section of the forums will at least be synced correctly.
However, if the problem is that the tempo is correct, but the arrows come too soon or too late throughout the whole file, that's when you do what IAAW suggested.
By the way, IAAW, cut the "Dr. IAAW says" crap. That's just annoying.Comment
