Help with dance pad on stepmania

Ok i just got a metal pad hooked it up and changed the config settings nd

evrything BUT whenever I jump left right or Updown it doesnt register

and sometimes it doesnt register down at all Is there anything I can do

to make it work Or is there something I'm doing wrong?????

Ok, first of all. Tell me the name of the adapter you use. The adapter is mainly the problem.

Or you can go on the Stepmania site, go down to USB adapters and search for the adapter you use, and they will tell you if it works. Because some adapters were made to only work with a PS2 controller, not a Dance Pad.

anyway yeah it doesnt appear to work is there anything else i can do or is that adaptor screwed or is my pad screwed?

Three reasons:

- Your pad is corrupt, or isn't mapped correctly.
- Your adapter is corrupt, or doesn't work.
- Your pad and/or adapter sucks.
