Sound driver Error...

I have had Stepmania for a while now, and suddenly it just started giving me this error:
Couldn't find a sound driver that works
I was wondering what exactly the problem is, and how would I fix it?
I have already tried reinstalling it, twice.

Help appreciated.

EDIT: I am also running Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2, if that matters.

Do you know who manufactures your sound card?

Erm...no.

Well, I checked on Everest Home Edition, and I believe it is Nvidia.
Would "nVidia MCP2 - Audio Codec Interface" be the correct thing?
