    Pad don't do doubles

My game douesn't recognize doubles on my pad. I use a 2006 Version 2.5 Ignition DDR Dance Pad. I was just wondering if this was a problem with the program or with the pad.

I don't think it's the pad, if the pad works normally on your PS2/Xbox. But I've been having the same problem with my pad on Stepmania. I turn num lock off and it still doesn't work well.

      RE: Pad don

Well, I don't have any way to test it on my XBox, and from some reviews I've read it doesn't work on the PS2.

Glad to know it's not the pad, though.

Its your PS2 to USB adaptor. Not all of them work.

I have the same problem. What I think is happening is that the pad is being read as a joystick (this might be the fault of the adaptor), and joysticks can't do up-down or left-right at the same time, obviously, so... yeah.

My pad allows me to do, like, up-right and stuff, since that's a legal joystick move, but that's about it.

Just play everything on No Jumps XD
          hehe

Actually, with many PS2-USB converters, here's a fix...

Try holding SELECT + START + UP on your pad, for three seconds, before going in to Stepmania. This turns off the idea of the 'axis' on your controller, allowing combinations of L+R and U+D, which normally are both on the same axis and impossible to press on a standard (read : not DDR pad) controller.

Give it a try, lemme know. You'll have to do it each time you restart your computer.

Didn't work. Didn't do anything at all.
              And I don't think it's the axis, because it won't do 7s, 9s, 1s or 3s either.
