Stepmania wont work

Stepmania gives me a "Failed to initialize application" error. I went and redownloaded, same problem. So I got DWI, and I got a "Could not initialize sound" error. So I figure its the same problem with stepmania. I reinstalled my sound drivers, still got the problem. Anyone wanna give it a shot?

Did you just drag the shortcut onto the desktop without copying it there? If you did, it won't run.

Only thing I can think of.

PS Don't use DWI.. and don't drink while driving.

Its drive while intoxicated. Also dont use DWI, it sucks, alot.
