In some songs that i play in Stepmania, there are patterns that will, without warning, mess up my brain somehow. What happens is that the fingers supposed to hit the notes in the pattern in question will not move, they will just simply freeze up. When the pattern is over, my fingers instantly go back to normal and start comboing everything again. This only seems to happen to me in easy songs.

Example of this (First bar of Hayden's Ageha in SM code):

0100
1010 < My fingers either freeze up here
0100
1001 < 
0101 < Or if they make it past that, they freeze up here
1000
0110

This will happen 99 times out of 100. I've tried just hitting patterns like this without the music and i can do it fine, but whenever i'm actually playing the song, i always freeze. And don't tell me to just practice the song more, this is completely different from just messing up on a part, my brain is telling my fingers to move, they just don't.

Has anyone else had the same kind of problem, and if so, what did you do to fix it?

This is the exact same thing that will sometimes happen to me. I can read the pattern just fine, but when I try to do it it feels akward or I won't be able to. Here's 1 pattern I'm bad at:
0011
1010
0011
1010

It feels akward and is sometimes hard for me to do. There are also other patterns I can't do, tons of which are in Girl Boy Song oni. I used to have one in quasar but I got over it. I guess you DO have to keep practicing to be able to do them, I don't know how else to overcome it.

PS The pattern you mentioned is like my favorite pattern in the game lol.
