    make sure there the right size, put them in jepeg ect., in the song folder you want, then go to stepmania to the song you added it to on the edit synch thingy and save it again. it always works for me.

            What I do when creating banners:

            1. Make sure it's 256x80 and saved as .png
            2. Make sure I delete any .old files before placing it in my song folder

            Also, it doesn't have to have "-banner" on the end of it if you want it to work.

                  Disable fast load on your StepMania if it's on (Options > Other Options > Fast Load). If you're doing this I find it hard to see how it's still not appearing.

                  Otherwise, I'm assuming that you copied a whole simfile folder from someone, deleted the steps, changed the title, artist, etc. in SM Editor instead of just making your own blank .dwi file (there'd be no other explanation). Add/Edit BG Change (located in SM Editor) is worthless because from what I can see it crashes on StepMania Online and just pushes the options half out-of-sight in RC4. If that's the case, open your .sm file (and in the meanwhile delete any .old files you have. It seems you don't delete them before you release).

                  #TITLE:;
                  #SUBTITLE:;
                  #ARTIST:;
                  #TITLETRANSLIT:;
                  #SUBTITLETRANSLIT:;
                  #ARTISTTRANSLIT:;
                  #GENRE:;
                  #CREDIT:;
                  #BANNER:;
                  #BACKGROUND:;
                  #LYRICSPATH:;
                  #CDTITLE:;
                  #MUSIC:;
                  #OFFSET:;
                  #SAMPLESTART:;
                  #SAMPLELENGTH:;
                  #SELECTABLE:;
                  #BPMS:;
                  #STOPS:;
                  #BGCHANGES:;
                  #KEYSOUNDS:;

                  If there are some things in this list that you don't have in your .sm file, that's okay, since we're only concerned with one area. Just for the sake of clarification, #_____: is self-explanatory. The colon after is where you input data. You signify the end of whatever data you enter with a semicolon.

                  In the section with bold, insert the filename of your banner (in this case, minilambsig.jpg). So it would become #BANNER:minilambsig.jpg;

                  Inserting the data manually shouldn't be required anyway. SM should detect the correct files in the folder and use them. If it still doesn't work try renaming the jpg file (even a simple Banner.jpg would do), and if even that doesn't have an effect, try renaming with an exclamation in the beginning so that SM detects the banner first before anything else in the folder while loading. If, again, no difference, you can just rename your folder (the actual folder where the simfile is), but if renaming the folder fixes the problem it's only because you would've had Fast Load on.

                      Re: Need help with banners

                      If you are like me and have almost two thousand stepfiles, I'd leave fast load on because you don't want to wait around for SM to load up.

                      If you are editing anything involving graphics on a certain stepfile, you need to choose either "reload from disc" while you are editing it in stepmania or choose "Reload all songs" from the options menu EVERYTIME you change a banner, cdtitle, background, etc. Otherwise, Stepmania won't detect it because it reads just the folder's name when it caches everything. You can also just change the stepfile's folder name and it will "reload" the file when you start StepMania automatically because of this. I hope that makes sense. :P
