    Success stories

Ok ive been playing for a year and ever since i started getting serious ive had a dream but its hard to keep going and lately ive been really bored with SM. Well its not SM but i never know what to play.

So share your success stories on how you became a good player, whether it goes with MA or not. Just being a good player is the basis for now.

Heres mine, i started a year ago when i was a freshmen, i played one hand and on 1x, which means i couldnt do alot of songs with 16ths in them. Then a friend of mine (Gamepro) showed me his Act scores and i was like "wtf is C400" so i went into options and turned it on. And in a day i was passing Csikos Post. Then i kept whoring it out, i passed Emerald Sword for the first time and whored it out into a AA in 3 days.

After that i started getting pretty good, i could pass 90% of my songs, so i started to work on PA, i went to Judge 5 and mastered that, then i went to Judge 6 and it was a lil too much for me. I went back to J4 after a month of J5/6 and my PA was awesome, then my keyboard got MAJOR lag and i took a week break. My PA was horrendous, but my MA got better. I kept playing and started to AAA stuff. then gamepro17616 told me to take Whatpulse off XD Then i became good and can AAA alot of songs. My MA/PA is 1/10 but im trying to get it to atleast 1/20.

    Theres my speech XD

    RE: Success stories

Once upon a time i was really bad at Stepmania. Then i practiced and got better. If i practice more, i'll get even better.

That's it. That's all there is to say.

I played one handed and on 1x.

Then I played two handed and on C440. Then I practiced alot.

      The end.

I've yet to see anybody better than me at gimmick files, and I'm extremely good at long streamy shit.

PS: I've also been playing longer than nearly everybody here

I used to play on 1x and j1 one hand when I was starting out. I was like hey I can pass A and V.

Then I got curious as to what this option screen was so I went to it and was like holy crap.

Soon after I switched back to j4.

A while later I switched to index.

I played on DWI, one-hand, 1x, which hella pissed me off until I finally figured out how to get to the stupid options menu. Got pretty good (A'd Max300, lol), then someone told me about two-hands and Stepmania.

Then I was like "wow, AAs!"

Then I was like "wow, KBMP!"

I'm still not that good yet; currently, my best accomplishments are AAs on Halloween and Holy Thunderforce (unless it's the AA on Red Sign on Heavy, even though the Heavy steps are hella easy).
              hehe
