question on SM/FFR technique

Hello,

I've been playing stepmania for awhile now. My style is the both hands, both index fingers. My question is technique on certain 16th notes.

Example would be the song stratosphere. When you have 16th arrows that go like this.

<


Straosphere goes into those a few times, thus using that as an example.

Currently I'm using two methods to hit those arrows and am looking for input on what you use. For anyone who also plays DDR, I'll put it those terms.

do you find yourself

a. Doing crossovers with your fingers
b. Doing the hop back and forth method. IE seeing someone play DDR who doesnt know crossovers?

B. Don't crossover in SM, because what happens if a spin comes?

C. Learn to play spread, using 3 or 4 fingers.

playing 4 fingered will handle the problem. you wont even notice the crossovers playing 4 fingered. Spread or 4 fingered is great. it improved my scores on tons of songs.

Instead of being a biased for 4 fingers, how about actually helping him with his technique. If you can't, then oh well. I am a 4 finger technique person also, so I am unable to help you, sorry. Of course, some of the best players play with only their indexes, so hopefully one of them will see this topic.

well it's not that I can't full combo these. It's more a factor of I'm going to AA/AAA songs without these steps easier then ones with this. I think I should go more detailed and ask any double index people how they improve their PA on these.

Wtf just move your finger across the up to the right real fast then hit the down with your left index and slide it to the left. That's what I do and I FC them.
