Question about sm

How come I can't window it, it's not working, I tried changing the resolution and all, I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions?(plz)

It won't window it. it just turns black then says some crap like "full screen, blah blah"

There you go. You didn't need to PM me for that. Besides you would have no idea if I even play SM. Luckily for you I do, even though Snapps knows more, but really, I almost deleted the PM because of its subject. Sol, you sure aren't making brownie points.

Usually That "blah, blah" tells you the problem. Not listening to the error is the reason why you are asking. And if it doesnt let you, then you have a problem that could have a fair amount of different problems that is causing it not to window, such as resolution or color depth.

Hit fullscreen and try it.

It obviously thinks it's going into fullscreen again, so try that to see if it will window and if it does not work reinstall SM. It's in the .ini where you can tweek with where things go, it and I don't usually venture off into it to figure these things out.

if I reinstall sm, will I lose my songs, unless I don't move the songs before hand?

When you reinstall, the only thing you will lose is your .ini, replacing it with the newest one.

If you have speed mods I suggest you save them and copy paste later.

My only thought might be to turn off AA and Vsync, and set your refresh rate to something besides 0. *shrug*

I don't know why you would want to play windowed anyway, full screen is a lot better. o_O

Try installing an older version of SM if nothing else works (or a newer one if you don't have rc3).
