The point of the toasty is three fold. Firstly, it is there as a reference to Mortal Kombat. In Mortal Kombat there was a toasty of Dan Forden who would pop up from the corner and say "TOASTY!!" Secondly, it is there to let you know you've gotten all perfects/marvelouses up to that point. Third, it is there to make you mess up and get a great or combo breaker.

Yeah. If you're on low volume though, it's not too much of a bother. I played MK3, and that guy popped up saying "TOASTY!!". Who IS Dan Forden, and where did you get that Power Rangers avatar, Afro?Why would you put that in your signature? You've lost your signature rights for a month.
