    [Playstyle] One-handed

    I'd like to know if my middle finger is supposed to take all the up and down arrows, in streams like Quasar. Or do I need to use index for down sometimes too ?

    If not, then wow, my middle finger is way to slow for that

    And what should I do when a jump (up + down) comes ?

    There isn't really a set way in how you have to play one handed, just do whatever feels comfortable.

      when i play one handed, which is very rarely, i have my fingers like this:

      d = thumb
      l= index
      u=middle
      r=ring

      that's whats comfortable for me

        I use my middle finger for both up and down, and I haven't had any problems during streams. At up down jumps, I use my pointer finger to press the down button.

          For streams yeah prolly use your middle and index, but something to try for up/down jumps could be using your middle finger to hit both of them, like just laying it flat instead of using your fingertips

            back in the day quasar is what forced me to start to play indexed, I don't play one handed any more(and never learned two handed). What I did was use my index finger for left, my middle finger for both up and down, and my ring finger for right(I was using my right hand, but I guess you could try it left handed too). For jumps I would use my middle finger to hit them both at once as described above. Trying to do the streams with up/down a lot is impossible(for me) so if you can't do it don't get discouraged- you have to find what play style works for you.

                  Rank has nothing to do with skill buddy, take nima for example. He is the best SM and FFR player on the planet(no joke) yet he is not #1, now look at Dj.RiDDeR, hes ranked #1 but isnt nearly one of the best (no offense man). thank you.

                    I play similar to gardyloo. On most streams I use my middle finger for both up and down, on most up+down doubles I smash them both with my finger, on holds where I have to do both I also smash both buttons, on up+down jackhammering though, I obviously use my middle finger and index finger. There are exceptions to all of these but that's how I've been playing so far.

                      I play one handed 3 fingers as well, i'm a noob as far as ddr terminology goes, but if a stream is constant up and down arrows, then I would use use my index finger on the down key, otherwise i just end up (as i like to call it) fingering the keyboard with my middle finger (going up and down real fast with your middle finger on the up and down keys) its pretty effective for me most the time, you just need a smooth keyboard and to not be sticky to do that :P Or you could use the bottom half of your middle finger to press down and the top half to press up, but that might be kind of uncomfortable. Also on jumps I just press both the keys with my middle finger, it works pretty well most the time
