I like padding more than I do keying, but I have all these keyboard songs that have no use, just so I can participate in the majority of Stepmania Online rooms. Anyway, I went to C400 a couple weeks ago from C350. That would look like an improvement, but I haven't improved. In fact, I used to be able to key a D on Absolute (Rock Guitar), now I fail halfway through. WTF? Any tips to get better? My main problems are reading 16th streams and doing streams of jump step jump step (UL-D-UL-D-UL-D-UL-D-LR-U-LR-U-LR-U-LR-U, etc.).

Play quasar and emerald sword ?
I personally started playing on a mat like 4 days ago, and right now I'm heaving heaps of fun playing quasar 0.4 music speed. I tried to play index a lot of time, without succes, but on pad my legs seem to know how to take the patterns.
In your case, I'd say start of with 0.8 music and go higher ? Its good stream practise -

RE: Need Help Improving!
It's basically the same thing. Get a good streamy file, pick a speed that is easy to do for you (I just roughly guessed 0.8 would do for you) and learn to take the patterns, then increase your speed.
I'm having the same experience but on pad, being a total noob on streams, and this is helping me a lot.Comment
