    The Weirdest Technique

What's the weirdest playing technique you've ever heard someone describe to you on SMO?

What inspired me to create this is I was on SMO and the guy I was playing against told me he was 4 finger, yet he used the keys ZX and NM (for the arrows left, down, up, right respectively.)

I have no idea how long it would take me to adjust to a technique like that, but if you're just starting out, I think its a pretty neat idea.

you serious? i had no clue about it.

i tried it myself, it works fine and i actually had no trouble adjusting from the arrow keys, it was an instant transition, but the problem is letter keys can only handle 2 letters at a time, and many songs theres more than 2 notes going at a time especially on holds.

i enjoy it more because the fingers aren't always rubbing together, but theres no way of getting around the letter support(though i could try switching from USB to PS2...)

That ZXNM is the 4-F Straight-Through technique.
People a lot of the time just do it on the arrow keys, that is the 4-F Traditional technique.

This is the good ol' 4-F Crossover technique that I worked up.

These pictures are not tilted. When I play, the keyboard is angled so that my hands are at both angled inward, so that my right hand isn't bent in like that.

Also, when I start to get tired, my middle fingers will start to get sore, and I will pick them up and use my right fingers.

How do you even call this a "technique"? It's really really simple spread setup and i used it back when the beginning of last year...

That is a weird keyboard you have there. I've never seen one partially slanted like that.

I used 129+ on the numberpad before when I decided to try and get better at four fingered...
