    Question about hold-steps.

I'm new to the whole DDR thing, and I was just wondering. It seems that I can only get O.K. ratings at the end of a hold-step. Is this all you can get, or can the timing be better?

    Thanks a lot.

Timing? The only tming involved is when you actually hit the hold note XD not at the end. O.K. is the only judgement you can get from hold notes.

Okay, thanks. I was thinking that you had to let go of the hold-note as soon as it ends to get a good rating, as well as at the beginning.

I was thinking that I just sucked too much to get better than an O.K.

Actually, there are two ratings that one can get from a hold arrow. OK for completing the hold and NG for not holding it completely. NGs don't break combo, but they do take away health and score I think.

You don't lose any points if you get a NG, and i think you can turn off losing health if you get a NG.

Yeah, you get more points getting an OK, but you don't lose any if you get an NG.
