I don't know what that is, but I know something you could do. Just reinstall SM.

Yeah, my MSVCP71.dll file is missing as well, I tried reinstalling, but it didn't fix it.

my friend also had this missing and he searched his computer and found something called the same thing
he just copied that then stuck it in the stepmania folder and it worked
i dont know why it worked but it doesnt matter

happened to me too, when i tried to install any of the sm 3.9r2a or something like that
it stopped when i installed stepmania 3.0 final though, so try that

Um, don't install 3.0. As you can probably figure out, it is an old version. Either get the missing file and install it or download RC2.
