all you need for a stepmania song is a .dwi notepad in a folder, and the mp3.

.BMS = a BMS file used for Beatmania, and rare cases of Pop'n Music simulation.

Read the Stickies here and in the Simulator Files forum for info on creating stepfiles.

go into notepad, and save it as song.dwi and select all files from the drop down list.. put this in the folder of the stepmania file you want to make along with the mp3, put that in your songs folder in stepmania then go into stepmania and go to the editor.. search for your song and then make steps.
