I downloaded a song pack that had note skins and theme included. It came in a ZIP file. I extracted it and it asked me if I wanted to replace "smzip.ctl". I have no idea if I should or shouldn't. I said no because I tend not to mess with things that I have no clue about... what should I do?

I think it was trying to overwrite one of the files in your default theme folder. This is bad, I would try and find the file and take it out of the folder and see if it still works.
