I'm writing some DWI analysis tools right now and I'd be interested to know what you think constitutes bias in step files. What makes a song biased towards one-handed, index or spread play?
lol not EVERYTHING. just like, the sharpnel songs and the smiley songs. maybe some others i dunno.
but index bias = no double stepping or spinning.
spread bias = jumps in streams WITHOUT two 16ths in a row. i.e. yeah some of my oni steps.
one handed bias - according to tank 4286 and 6824 are really really easy on one hand. however, theyre really really easy on basically every other style too so whatever. but one hand players have an easier time with jacks at a slower bpm. i.e. 120-150bpm 16ths.
I'd say one handed players can do Crossovers well too.
One Hand: Crossovers, Jacks (Maybe) , Triples Quads but they don't really matter.
Index: Trills, Streams with no jumps or crossovers
Spread: Pretty much everything... Jump streams, Crossovers if you've studied them, Jacks maybe, trills are hard to do but once you get them down they're easy.
Weaknesses for the playing styles
One Hand: Trills, Fast streams
Index: Crossovers, Streams with many jumps in them
Spread: Trills (For everyone until they get them down.)
Index Biased Song: LOTS of trills, jacks and constant airs
Four Finger Biased Song: Heavy streams, crossovers and air to single and back (so like: 2,8+6,2,8+6 (don't know what it's called)

Actually, it's 6824 and 4826.
4286 and 6284 are really hard one handed.
