If you use windows XP (and maybe 2000, not sure), you should be able to go to "network connections" in the control panel, and one of those should be a LAN connection. Click on that, and in the lower left corner of the window should be some stats about that connection. In IP Address there should be an IP that starts with 192.168. That will be the IP for your router. In internet explorer, type in that IP into the browser, and it should come up with your router page. If you have to type in a user name/pass, then you're screwed pretty much, unless you can get your parents to do it. :P Anyway, there should be a page (this all depends on how your router page is setup) where you can open ports. I don't remember off hand what port Stepmania uses, maybe you could ask emccky or someone. That's who I got the port off of. Anyway, fill in the required info for that port, enable it, and there you go.
It's been too long since I've used anything other than XP, so I don't know how to go about it on the other windows versions. :/
