    problem with triples

Whenever I play a stepmania song that has triples (three arrows at the same time), if the combo includes the left arrow, I miss it.

The only triple I can hit is down-up-right; the rest don't even seem to register for the program.

I can hit all the doubles with lefts and lefts by themselves; it's just those three triples that I just can't do. Can anybody help me out here?

    RE: problem with triples

Your keyboard does not map all four of your arrow keys together.

This means that if you pressed all four at the same time, you keyboard would not respond to it. Some keyboards just weren't made the way stepmania people want it.

Meh, I can hit it. If you want, you might want to try setting your keyboard up like this:

      Up - D
      Left - X
      Down - C
      Right - V

And also, for the same side:

      Up - U
      Left - H
      Down - J
      Right - K

Sometimes just having the keys in different places help. For me, that works so I can hit those types of arrows, and even when all four come up at once. Hope that helps.

Also, try turning NumLock off. Sometimes having that on affects keypresses. If that doesn't work, change the key configuration.
