I use c600 for most songs, and c700 on some. but for some reason i can only get an A on rollercoasterride(the one for SM)when i use
X3 speed
P.S. i play 1 handed
Deposition isn't knocking ddrists, he's knocking ppl that have something against speedmods... Anyways, I use c676... and squeek, you claim to use higher cmods, but looking at your screenshots, you're at c650 or something like that =\
and Tank101... cmods is about a comfort thing... Just because ppl read at higher speeds doesn't necessarily mean that they're the best readers at that speed... Heck, I've AA'd OML on 4.5x... 900 bpm, I'd love to see other people do that...
For Stepmania I use a regular speed mode to get it around 600. For DDR I used to use speed mods but right now I prefer good old plain vanilla 1X.
For dancing to steps where the whole thing is a big mess of quarter beats (ie not made by Konami), I use 2X. I actually wouldn't mind a mod that simulates that the BPM is double what it really is and recolours the arrows accordingly (ie so quarterbeats show as half beats, half beats show as whole beats, etc).
CMods aren't stupid, they are just a different method of reading arrows, though I personally like to see the pacing of the music affect the pacing of the arrows of the screen.

EXACTLY. Ie. I generally use about 650bpm. Does that mean that somebody who generally uses 900 is better than me at high reading? No. They might play at 900 but get like a C on some songs and I might AA or AAA. The reason we use these bpms is because we are comfortable at that speed and do our bests at them doesn't mean we can't do insane on higher speed.
