    dance pads on stepmania... help

    hey every1,
i just got a psx/ps2 to usb adapter. i configured it right to my knowledge (i installed the driver, and i configured the buttons). when i play songs, i usally play leaving my foot on the arrow i pressed last. for example. i had my feet on both the left and right arrow, then i tried to press up, and it didnt work... is this the work of my adapter, or the computer settings.. i hope i didnt waste 12$ on a stupid adapter...help! lol

Many generic adapters have a problem with not registering when you press more than two buttons down at the same time. Try using a different adapter.

        don't use a different adapter.

hold up + start + select for three seconds before loading sm. Then go and reconfigure. If you need more help go to stepmania.com and click the thing under support that says adapter compatibility.

but how would a PS2 USB adaptor work for stepmania anyway?
Stepmania isnt a PS2 product its a download.

                SM adapters

LOL! I did the exact same thing earlier on in the year and got the same errors as you. Then i found out that like the only adapter that works with SM is BOOM, all others generate many arrow errors, the configuration doesn't help at all.

                  RE: SM adapters

The adapter works, because stepmania does have a USP ported configuration in the step config file in options.
