Can't use speed mods in edit mode

For some reason none of the 'player options' are applied when I play the song in edit mode. When I go back to the player options the selector is still on the speed mod I picked.. and all of the 'song options' are applied.. I installed rc1 and it does the exact same thing...
I also noticed that when I sped the song speed up the arrows were just as close as without the song speed being faster..
