A little help Please?

My DWI is messed up... Whenever I try and run it it says Your video card does not support DirectX 8.1....how, and can i fix this? Then it says run DWI with the /sdl command line...Help?

You probably need a better video card then...

download DirextX 8.1 (or 9.0a)
Tell us what videocard you have (device manager, display adapters, those entries right there)

I have NVIDIA RIVA TNT2/TNT2 Pro

First download these drivers

drivers for 95, 98, ME
for 2000 and XP)

then make sure DirectX 8.1 is installed (last post)

then DWI should work.

Still doesnt work....It says run with the /sdl command..how do i do that?

Right click on the .EXE file, and select "Create Shortcut". A new file called "Shortcut to..." will appear in your folder. Right-click this file and go to "Properties". You'll see one text box labelled "Target:" that points to the .EXE file. Go to the end of this text and add the command line arguments there. So to run the program in SDL, add " /sdl /fullscreen". (note the space)

Click "OK" and start the program using the Shortcut.

or if you d/l dwi theirs already a .exe to click on... its called.. dwi-sdl.exe... no need for all those instructions..

yea.. the best way to make the arrow beats is to use SM cvs.. which you can get in the SM section... you can also use notepad and xstep.. but Sm cvs is the easiest by far

i have no idea what to do.. i dled it, put it into a folder, hit the run program window, and it says somthing about not detetcting a .DLL file... help!!
