SM Won't Load...

ok. so i had Alpha20, and everything was sexy. then rc1 comes out, and i thought i'd give it a try... and it sucked. so i wanted to go back. i get alpha23 from Zildjian, only after i play and exit SM it won't load again.

double-click... nothing. double-click... nothing. i checked my running processes to see if it was there, and just being stubborn. nope, not there. it just won't load.

so, i delete alpha23, and go through SMs DLing source and DL alpha20 again... only, Zild's stupid problem with it not loading is still there. i have no desire to have to re-install SM every time i want to play... is there any fix to this? going to try wiping everything relating to SM tomorrow. i'll move my songs and data files to another folder, and clear everything in the CVS... then re-install 20. see if that will work....

otherwise.... help, please.

Until you see how that works out, all I can say is clear your cache...

Whenever my SM has a problem, 90% of the time I just need to restart. Did you try that?

cleared all forms of cache... the cache file in SM plus close to 2 gigs in temp files etc.

also restarted.... still doesn't work. any other advice? as per zildjian, i have to reinstall SM every time i want to play... and with custom metrics and changing all the options... i REALLY don't want to have to go through that.
