ok well, stepmania doesn't want to load up every time, i just get a black screen...any ideas/help on what it could be?

I've had something similar happen to me. But it might be different in your case.
What happened to me once is that I double clicked the SM icon and nothing happened so I double clicked it again. What was really going on was that it was preparing to load, so I ended up launching SM twice accidently by double clicking twice. This caused a black screen to appear. I think that's what's happening with your SM. So try again but only double click once and wait for it to load. If it doesn't work, try deleting your cache. -

go to your stepmania folder and delete the files in the Cache folder...i think there is one....Comment
