Help with SMZIP files please?!

Ok first what exactly is a SMzip file and when i download one its pic beside the download thing look like the internet explorer sign and it doesnt work on stepmania how can i make them work plz help

Ouch...painful reading.

SMZIP is Stepmania ZIP. But it sometimes doesn't work. So, just rename it to (filename).zip . That always worked for me.

RAR files are compressed with a program known as "WINRAR". Search Google for it.

You can change SMZIP files to ZIP by simply changing the extension. If it were

StepmaniaFile.smzip

You would make it into

StepmaniaFile.zip

Simple as that. If you cannot see the extension and you're using windows XP, you have to turn the extensions back on. Go to any folder, go to Tools -> Folder Options -> View -> Hide Extensions for known file types. Make sure that's unchecked.
