    EDIT/SYNCH Troubles

When I try to EDIT/SYNCH my song (Using record mode) it does a few seconds worth, then goes back to the main part and deletes all the steps I've recorded...help!

But if you are using record mode, (like Moogy said you shouldn't use it anyways.) you hit the space bar on where you want to begin recording and scroll down to how many bars down till you want to finish recording. Then record.

What's wrong with record mode? I usually use it to make myself a base for my steps. Then I go back and make sure the arrows are right (which a lot of the time they aren't) then I make sure the patterns are good.

Most people don't use record mode because if you don't have spot on timing it sucks and stuff.. plus, unless you plan it out, you're hitting notes at the wrong times.. I'd just say don't use record mode until you start getting better with the stepmania editor...
