    Modding tips for soft pad?

I want to play more dancepad but all I have is a softpad. My softpad moves all over the place, has no feel for the buttons so I always have to look down to center myself, and I genuinely just don’t like the mushy feel of it. I really do not have the money for a hard pad but I still want to play the game without any issues. Does anyone have any cheap mods I could do to my softpad so I can play without any problems?

Nothing a little (a lot of) tape can't solve! [note: I have not tried these ideas nor do I have much modding experience]. To prevent the pad from moving around you could try taping it down to the floor (carpet might not work well with this). To get the button feel you could place tape around the button, maybe adding thickness or placing something between the tape and pad to give the feel of a panel edge. Not sure how to handle the mushy feel though, keeping the material fairly taut might help a bit.
