Help- Corrupted DWI files

I've been trying to download differnt DWI files from the FFRSimfile section, and everytime the files are corrupted. For one thing, they dont even "finish" downloading although they say its completed. I've tried various files and i get the same result. I checked out a previous post, tried turning off my firewalls and privacy protectors, but nothing works. I use internet explorer. i really dont want to install any other software to fix this.

what are you using to unzip?

If you're using winzip, get winrar, or vice versa.

Use whatever WinXP gives me.... Compressed (zipped) Folders Extraction Wizard.

I dont think I have a problem extracting.... its the incomplete downloading part.

Yeah, that's probably it. If you're not getting the whole file, it won't unzip properly. I'm not sure how you can fix that problem though, especially if the computer thinks it's complete. Have you done a virus scan and checked for spyware and stuff like that? That might not solve the problem, but it's always worth doing periodically anyway. I suppose you could try some download manager, but you don't want to install more software. Maybe you've tried this, but if you were left clicking on the link to get the pop-up asking you to save or open the file, try right clicking and choosing "save as" instead. It shouldn't make a difference, but it can't hurt to try. You could try another zip program, but if the files are incomplete, that's the real problem, not the zip program. I'm not sure. Have you been able to make any progress since last time you wrote?
