I'm a huge fan of jacks, particularly minijacks. Try to use them in my files whenever they make sense

                I can't jack...therefore I don't like jackhammers. It's not built into my DNA.

                  Re: JACKHAMMER SADNESS

Sometimes I put long jacks in my files specifically because I know people can't do them.

                  See: You Universe

                  I'm that guy.
                  Sorry not sorry.

EDIT- Overall though, long jacks are fine if they're used tastefully and are not some unnecessary difficulty spike. The jacks in Zagh's St. Scarhand for example make the file a lot less fun for me.
The exception to this is if the entire file is crafted around them being the main source of difficulty. Appropriately enough, Jackhammer Madness is a great example of this.
It's important the stepper appreciates that they're really fucking hard and that, moreso than other patterns, not everyone can do them well.

i actually really enjoy slow jacks below like 130 bpm and im decent at maing them at that speed, but im garbage compared to my skill level at longjacks that are actually fast, struggling with even 140 longjacks lol

also yeah, jackhammer madness has been aaad by at least 3 people, and only 3 people actually play vibro files

Lately I've been playing your files specifically for the jacks, the new OWA rages, You Universe, undici etc. hot fiffercore

Jacks are great when they're placed tastefully, they add an extra level of difficulty. I can probably do virtually any pattern within my comfort zone with zero effort required, but when if comes to jacks I have to actually apply myself and make a considerate effort to hit them successfully.

Jacks are like exercise but for fingers

I think jacks are fun. Chordjacks are probably the most satisfying pattern for me too hit in this game. So I actually play jacky charts quite a bit. I need to try and find some more though, as I usually just play the same few ones.

                          Re: JACKHAMMER SADNESS

Basically to sum up my response, jacks are among the most prominent aspects of my gameplay experience - depending of course on the quality of their implementation within the charts that I play.

I'm right handed, so on top of my left hand being slower it's also severely lacking in its ability to error correct whenever it does inevitably fuck up as a result: this ends up being severely off-putting whenever I'm in the mood to practice some long jack stuff beyond a certain difficulty area >.>

Paladin and World of Dreams (Mina's chart) personally stand out to me as chordjacking charts that are quite fun to me. Sandstorm is alright, but the long jacks tire me so much to the point of me not being able to give it proper attempts anywhere near as often as I would like to. Long trills are also a bit hit-or-miss given my relatively unstable control at times, but whenever I do well on them they can be quite enjoyable too. Even outside of jack-oriented charts, I generally tend to find certain (jump)jack-ish transitions to be a nice way to add a good bit of flavor to a chart - when justified musically... or otherwise.

Also, I do happen to find burst jacking to be quite a fun experience - I can easily resort to it whenever I'm having an otherwise awful session, which usually ends up doing a good job at redeeming it as far as the enjoyment factor goes. c:

I envy people who can find jacks fun, any pattern with jacks on it feels very awkward to me in a way that it isn't fun or even satisfying to hit well.
