This will probably be the last release in the 5.0.x line. Maintaining two separate branches is a hassle, and the 5.1 branch is in good shape.

What happened to the noteskin? It's all flashy and techno-y and I can't see anything.

I converted Jousway's consentient as the default skin because it was new. I thought other people would step up and convert other noteskins, but they mostly didn't. You can try the exactv2 and easyv2 conversions if you don't like the default noteskin.

No, there is no way to use older noteskins in 5.1.-2. For one, the hold graphics have to be made differently because I designed a different rendering system to make avoiding seam bugs easier. I'll be converting a few noteskins, and the system is fully documented so other people can convert noteskins too.

If you downloaded 5.1.-2 before this post, you have a version with broken autogen. Turns out it was broken for 5 months and nobody noticed.

Hmm... I'm trying to change the noteskin to easyv2 from both the settings and when selecting a song, but it's still the default one. Do I have to download new ones from here?

Your noteskin choice is stored in your profile in 5.1. If you don't have a profile, it and many other things won't be saved at all.

I do have a profile set in the game, I've always had and the noteskins changed without problems in the older version, but now they don't change at all even though the settings clearly show that easyv2 is selected. See this album to hopefully understand my problem: http://imgur.com/a/oVU64

thats becasuse your using an outdated theme with the old noteskin selector, the new noteskins aka newskins use a diffrent selector

Prim is currently working on updating sc-wh for 5.1.-2. I should have been more clear in the docs and release notes that you won't be able to actually set noteskin until the theme you're using is updated.

Does this mean we're stuck with 4 noteskins now? I'm too used to using a slightly different version of delta.

Redo the hold graphics to be all frames in a single image like the default noteskin, and I'll take care of the lua for whatever noteskin you want.
