Osu!Mania, need help plz!

I have interest in playing osumania, but i don't know where to start. I need to know how and where to get a good theme for it, along with a noteskin. Also how to change the speed mod if I need too, and where to get songs for osumania from. Help plz!!! and maybe a thread like this would be good for other people to start out too :3

i have osu/osumania downloaded, and found the ddr flip thing, but the bars are so small i can't read them x.x

go to options.

make sure the "Scale osu!mania scroll speed with BPM is unchecked

recommend muting sound effects because mania sync is horrid

in the menu, ctrl+f3/ctrl+f4 to adjust your speedmod (f3/f4 while in game)

once you get a skin (i can zip up mine) then you can start by playing through a song ignoring your timing. in the results screen, you can hover your mouse over the hp chart to get how off you are (and as a result, fix your offset in the options menu)

Dude sound effects in rhythm gaming are cancer period

That said I'm also interested in Osu!Mania but literally everything is offsync worse than Deemo without headphones

If you haven't got the theme from YoshL yet, I can always send you my theme as well - that's assuming if he's using the popular portalmania theme.

You'll have to get used to this if you're going to be playing Osumania.

For the past few weeks that I've been playing Osumania, I just realized I've done my offset blindly the entire time lool.

i'm using portalmania with a couple edits in case you wanted to get into any of the other modes lol

Taiko is the most ghetto upscroll fix ever though (flip a monitor sideways lmao)

I don't feel the game isn't necessarily garbage; however, there are a few things that I would fix in the game if I had that power. With that being said, I do feel like it has a lot of good potential and can get better over time. I'm also curious to see what is it that you don't like about this game since I know you have a lot of rhythm game experience for yourself.

online/chat feels good compared to SMO and most rhythm games, so that is a plus
also adding songs without needing to reload everything

try to play 7k if you are there! if you are only going to play 4k, i would still recomend stepmania
