Yet Another SM Progression Thread

Dumping my scores in here to keep track of my progress because I'm taking the time to sink into SM and try to improve at it (my biggest problem right now is these damn BPM lines that overlap on the chart itself to where it gets hard to read the chart; handstream is pretty poor to read honestly).

Any words/thoughts of how to improve, what I can do from an outsider perspective, or tips to playing would be lovely from anyone!

1.1x SDCB, I just need to improve on the one-handed sections


1.4x SDCB, really stupid easy I tell you it just feels like Serious Shit with even lesser patterning


My first AA on this, that ending brutalized me, and you can even see it in the graph/my remaining life %. I could get <15 CBs on this


Could clean it up, but it was fun


1.3x SDCB, I had to grind this out last night for at least 4 attempts but I got it and still one of the patterns rekt me


1.3x SDCB, first half of file is stupid easy, second half is a bit tight but could definitely improve

What bpm lines are you talking about, that's probably a theme dependent thing so you can get rid of it.

Anyway, I feel your SM scores are considerably worse than your FFR ones so maybe tweaking your SM setup might help a lot with your adaptation and ultimately your scores.
Considering what you posted for SM scores so far I guess Red Sign AA is nice (that life drop at the end tho). My suggestion for improving is the generic and brief "push yourself and get out of your comfort zone", hard to say anything else without more in-depth information of what you are already doing.

When I play, the background of the chart contains these lines that match up with the songs BPM (think of when you are stepping songs) and it hinders my readability on any given chart. Certain songs with higher than 2000 BPM cause my SM to get extremely choppy and practically unplayable (Xepher SPEEDbucket did this).

cant find it in the options but you should go to the theme creator and ask for the ability to turn it off. personally i've always liked the lines, but thats just me :P

For now, you go to metrics.ini and find this line -

Yours are set to true, so just set them to false.

It helped a ton getting that off and now I can actually read charts!

My accuracy is getting noticeably better

9/10 Session, improving in some areas and milestones

Any good? Could probably do better but my arm feels like it is going to fall off (was having issues prior to session)


1.1x SDCB, just that one section still gets me the rest is easy
